Physics Education (India) is a journal for physics pedagogy and research.

It was started in the year 1984 by the department of physics at University of Pune (now called Savitribhai Phule University of Pune) in India. In the last more than 30 years of its existence, it was financially supported at various times by the Indian Association for Physics Teachers, University Grants Commission, Indian Space Research Organisation, Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Savitribhai Phule University of Pune and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune.

From 1984 until 2011, Physics Education was published in print format. From 2012 onwards, it became an online journal. The ISSN number of the journal is 0970-5953.

The team of chief editor, the editorial board and advisory board take part in running the editorial operations of the journal. The journal is presently administered by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (an autonomous institution under the ministry of human resources development, Government of India), Pune, India.
